Making Good Choices In fourth grade, students are learning to become independent learners. Therefore, fourth graders are responsible for their own choices and actions. Students are expected to behave in a respectful manner in the school building. Inappropriate behavior will warrant parental contact and school intervention. Within class, students are held to high expectations to ensure that all students get the opportunity to learn in a positive environment. In order to assure students are always focused and on task, we will be implementing the “Making Good Choices” management system. This plan consists of students changing their color card whenever they are found to be off task. This is a reminder for students to get themselves back on task and ready to learn.
green- "I am making good choices. I am focused and ready to learn." yellow - "I better get back on task. I might be a little distracted." red- "While I know I can make good choices, today, I am not making very good ones. Parents will be contacted to discuss this off task behavior and decision making.
